Department of Marketing and Distribution Management

There are 21 full-time teachers in the Department including 6 associate professors, 13 assistant professors, and 2 lecturers.

Courses
The Department focuses on how to train students in theory learning and practical skills training. These techniques are decided according to the trend of industrial requirements and future technological development. We wish to teach Knowledge in three areas:knowledge in three areas: Marketing Planning, Chain Store Construct and Management, and Distribution Service and Management. Our students will become experts in these areas. Accordingly, our department’s courses are constructed based upon these three areas, in order to meet the requirements of distribution management development.

Teaching Objectives and Characteristic
The teaching goal of the Department is to train expertise in theory learning and practical skills training in marketing and distribution management. We wish students to have gained skills in innovation application management by the time they graduate. The Department’s three objectives are as follows:
1.Train students how to analyze and solve business problems in marketing and distribution management Industry
2. Train students how to execute practical business programs and effectively communicate with colleagues, as well as take responsibility in cooperation with others
3. Train students to have the habit of continuous learning and innovative creation

Facilities and Resources
1. Marketing Planning Lab: To train students to learn the new information technology about marketing planning and execution in this lab. The facilities and equipment in this lab include a professional studio room, digital video camera and digital camera, PC, Mac computers, and Photo Creation Software.
2. Intelligent Vehicle Lab: The main purpose of this lab is to teach students how to use GPS, GPRS, digital map, on-time monitoring systems. Students will learn how to manage jobs in vehicle utilization and monitoring. Their information technology ability will improve through training in this lab.
3. Innovation and Creativity Lab: This lab hopes to inspire and create students’ new idea and innovation in marketing and distribution. It can be used to hold presentation seminars, conference, and small group meetings. There are numerous advanced technology equipment, like Warehouse Management System, RFID, and Advanced Planning and Scheduling Systems. In addition, it also includes 37 All-in-one PCs with touch monitors and iPads.

Graduation
When students gradate from the Department, they can become marketing and sales department managers, distribution management experts, or owners or managers of chain stores.
